What are the check-in and check-out times at the Rainforest Inn?

⚬ Check-in: 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. (Please notify us in advance if you anticipate arriving late as there is a $35 fee for arrival after 9:00 PM.)

Is the Rainforest Inn family-friendly?

The Rainforest Inn is primarily an adults-preferred / adults-focused eco-villa experience designed for peace, relaxation, and nature immersion.

⚬ Age Limit: We generally cater to guests aged 18 and older, or older teens traveling with family, to preserve a quiet, serene atmosphere.

⚬ Children: The property features steep mountain terrain, open balconies, and deep natural ponds that are not suitable or safe for young children or toddlers.

How many nights can I stay at the Rainforest Inn?

⚬ Minimum Stay: We require a minimum stay of 3 nights (many choose a longer stay because of our central location).

⚬ Maximum Stay: Guests can stay for as long as they like, though most guests find that 3 to 7 nights is the ideal duration to explore El Yunque National Forest, relax at the inn, and experience the surrounding northeast coast of Puerto Rico.

Are there other activities?

1. Trail Runners or Hiking Shoes: Bring sturdy shoes with good traction/rubber grips for hiking El Yunque trails, where rocks and mud can be slick.Yo

2. Water Shoes / Closed-Toe River Shoes: Essential for walking through natural pools, riverbeds, and waterfall hikes.

3. Casual Sandals or Flip-Flops: Ideal for relaxing around the inn, lounging on your villa porch, or hanging out by the pool/deck but not for any hikes.

⚬ Note: Leather shoes or fancy heels are not recommended due to humidity and outdoor mountain paths.

Pack lightweight, quick-drying, and breathable clothing. The rainforest is warm, humid, and experiences frequent rain showers.

⚬ Daywear: Lightweight moisture-wicking shirts, quick-dry shorts, and activewear.

⚬ Rain Gear: not necessary.

⚬ Swimwear: Bring at least 2 swimsuit options so one can dry while you wear the other.

⚬ Evening Wear: Casual resort attire (light linen shirts, casual dresses, shorts). Evenings in the mountain rainforest can be cooler (low 70s°F / 21°C), so a light sweater or long-sleeve layer is helpful. For outings at fine restaurants both nearby and in San Juan

⚬ Protection: Wide-brimmed hat, UV sun-shirt, insect repellent for visiting the coast, and reef-safe sunscreen.
